Do you feel like you are going through the motions of life? Try something new…
Mindfulness is a simple practice of being fully present. When we live in the past or the future we can become sad, depressed, or even anxious. When we slow down… we have the ability to be in the moment, so that we can appreciate what is right in front of us.
Mindfulness can also be coupled with breathing exercises. It helps when we bring awareness to all of our senses during mindfulness practices. You may sit and take deep breaths, bringing attention to what you can hear, see, taste, smell, and feel.
Multitasking is often looked at as a great quality to have. I challenge you to embrace the art of monotasking. Imagine that you focused on each task… one at a time. What if you were able to fully concentrate on one task? Would you learn something new?
If you are pressed for time…time block your activities. Set a timer and work on that particular project or task for a set amount of time. When the timer stops…move on to another task.
